Fezt Music · Pilot
Artist Terms
Version pilot-2026-10 · applies to the invite-only pilot of Fezt Music and Fezt Radio.
1. Your music stays yours
You keep all ownership of your songs, recordings and artwork. Uploading to Fezt Music does not transfer any copyright to us.
2. What you allow us to do
By uploading a song, you give Fezt Music a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free (during the pilot) permission to:
- store your song and stream it to listeners on Fezt Music, including in 9D spatial sound;
- play it on Fezt Radio and show your name, song title and artwork with it;
- use short clips, your artist name and artwork to promote your song on Fezt Music and its social channels.
You can end this permission at any time by deleting the song in your artist portal. It is removed from the app and radio straight away.
3. What you promise us
- You wrote and own the recording, or you have written permission from everyone who has rights in it: co-writers, producers, featured artists, labels and the owners of any samples or beats.
- Your upload doesn't break anyone else's rights (copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity).
- Your details (name, email, country) are true, and you're at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
- If you're a member of a royalty collection society (for example BMI, ASCAP, PRS or SAMRO), you're allowed to grant the permission in section 2. Tell us if you're unsure.
4. Not allowed
- Songs you don't own, covers without a licence, or uncleared samples.
- Hate, harassment, content that sexualises minors, or anything illegal.
- Fake or paid streams: bots, click farms, "stream-for-stream" schemes or playing your own songs on loop. Fezt Music counts a stream only after 30 seconds of real listening and filters suspicious plays. Accounts that manipulate streams lose those streams and can be removed.
5. Review and removal
Every song is reviewed before it goes live. We may decline or remove a song, or suspend an account, if it breaks these terms or if we receive a credible copyright complaint. We'll tell you why.
6. Getting paid
During the pilot there are no payouts. Fezt Music plans to fund artist payments from fan subscriptions, tips, advertising and artist promotion plans, and to share the majority of that income with artists, based on counted streams. The exact split, payout schedule and payout methods will be set out in the reviewed terms before any money is paid. Your counted streams are recorded from day one.
7. Your data
We store your artist name, email, country, password (scrambled, never readable), uploads and stream statistics. For listeners, we keep play records with scrambled network identifiers and a country code to count streams fairly and fight fraud. We don't sell personal data.
8. Copyright and takedown requests
If you believe a song on Fezt Music uses your work without permission, contact us with:
- the song title, artist name and link on Fezt Music;
- what work of yours it uses, and proof you own it;
- your name and contact details, and a statement that the information is accurate and you're the rights owner or authorised to act for them.
Contact: [label contact email to be added]. We aim to act on valid requests within 2 business days, and we'll tell the artist so they can respond.
9. Changes
We'll update these terms as Fezt Music grows, especially before payouts begin, and will notify artists before any change takes effect.
